02 — What the 0.1% includes

Everything on the line, from request to payout.

  • Payment requests API

    One POST creates a request with line items, goods type and an expiry from 30 minutes to 7 days.

  • Apple Pay in iMessage

    Eligible requests open a native Apple Pay sheet inside the conversation. One tap, Face ID, paid.

  • Hosted checkout

    Every request carries a checkout_url fallback for any payer, any device.

  • Signed webhooks

    Payments, refunds and disputes send events signed with HMAC-SHA256 and retried for about three days.

  • Test mode

    gk_test_ keys behave like live, without moving money.

  • Refund approvals

    Agent-requested refunds wait for the owner’s approval link before anything moves.

Who holds the money?
Never us. Payments are direct charges on the merchant’s Stripe Connect account; Grosso’s 0.1% is an application fee on that charge.
What counts toward the free $50k?
Paid volume across all your payees, counted separately for live and test mode. A payment that crosses $50k pays 0.1% only on the part above it.
What does an expired request cost?
Nothing. Requests expire after 24 hours by default, or anywhere from 30 minutes to 7 days with expires_in.
How do refunds work?
Refunds run back through Stripe. When an agent asks for one, the owner gets an approval link that is valid for 24 hours.
